The interior is being praised by owners of the 2024 Toyota Highlander predecessor. The SUV does not have either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Hybrids are a great choice for quiet, economical driving.
2024 Toyota Highlander SE Engine
The same unit will be available on all base models of the Toyota Highlander 2024. It’s a 2.7-l, inline-four drivetrain with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Surprisingly, a larger engine is more efficient than a 4-cylinder. The previous Toyota Highlander was able to achieve 20/27 mpg in the city and highway, compared to 20/24 on an inline-four. At least one mpg is lost with all-wheel drive.
The new Highlander SUV will combine a conventional petrol engine with an electric motor. All hybrid trims produce 306 horsepower. The fuel economy is excellent, especially in cities like Highlander where it can achieve 30 mpg.
2024 Toyota Highlander SE Release Date and Price
The base model of the 2024 Toyota Highlander is available for $31,000. The LE Plus model will be priced at around $36,000 while the Hybrid model will be close to that.
