2024 Toyota bZ4X Release Date, Colors, Engine – Toyota released the official map for the mass-produced version of its pure electric SUV model, bZ4X, a few days back. The e-TNGA platform will be used to build the new car. It is expected to be available in mid-2022.
2024 Toyota bZ4X changes
Interior and exterior
The design of the new car is inspired by the design of the previous concept car. Additionally, the front features a closed-air intake grille which is a common design language for pure electric cars. Both sides of the headlamps have an angular shape. The interior has been darkened and joined with chrome strips. This effectively extends the front face’s horizontal perceived breadth. The interior is decorated with decorative strips in banner-shaped shapes, creating a strong visual effect.
The side styling is harsher. While the roofline seems straighter, it is not as curved as the main line. However, a slip-back shape is created from the C-pillar to the rear. This is done keeping in mind the rear passengers’ head space and creating the illusion of movement. The external mirrors, ornamental bands around the windows, wheel eyebrows, and side skirts were all blacked to create a strong cross-border atmosphere.
Tail light groups use a through-type tail design, which increases the horizontal optical width. The trunk’s top has a small, blackened rear wing. Both of these contribute to the illusion of movement. The lower part of the enclosing body is also more radical and gives off a sense of hierarchy.
Toyota’s family design philosophy is reflected in the interior of the new car. It features a 3-spoke multi-function steering column, an LCD instrument panel with full LCD, and an electronic shift system. Technology and science are performing well.
2024 Toyota bZ4X Engine
There are two options for powertrains on the new car: four-wheel drive or two-wheel drive. The two-wheel drive version uses a front motor with a maximum output power of 150kW. The motor is paired with a 71.4 kWh battery pack, which has a range of 402 km, according to the EPA. The four-wheel-drive version includes dual front and rear motors. The maximum power of a single motor is 80kW. The maximum combined power is 160kW. The battery pack has a 72.8 kWh capacity. It is still unknown what the cruising range will be.
