This powertrain is standard in the Tundra and Sequoia and includes an electric motor. It has a 437 horsepower, 583 lb-ft of torque, and a 10-speed automatic transmission. This hybrid powertrain could be offered to the new 4Runner and will probably offer better performance than the current 4.0-liter V6.
We expect a significant increase in fuel efficiency, as demonstrated by the Toyota Sequoia, Tundra, and the 6th generation 4Runner. The 4Runner will likely still offer a part-time 4WD system.
